Job description

This leading consultancy firm is working closely with high-profile businesses on several projects across a range of industries. The Senior Manager - Public Procurement role would be working with client organisations and shaping & executing procurement strategies for large-scale public sector capital projects.

The Position

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from planning and tendering to contract management and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities align with project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for the organisation.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement best practices and regulatory requirements.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPPO) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public procurement, with a focus on capital projects and large-scale spending.
  • In-depth knowledge of public procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing procurement strategies.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
