Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager - Medical Devices - New Zealand (Visa Sponsorship and Relocation fully covered)

Our client is one of New Zealand's largest Medical Device manufacturers employing 7000 professionals globally with revenues of 2 Billion NZD. With three manufacturing sites globally, and a sales team distributed across 65 locations the company has doubled in size over the past five years.

Due to continued growth and success, they are now seeking a Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager to be based out of their Auckland, NZ, headquarters.

Reporting directly into the General Manager for Post-Market Surveillance, you will play a pivotal role in identifying areas to improve the performance of medical devices while ensuring a competitive market advantage.

The Position

  • Lead and manage employees to maintain a motivated and high-performing team that delivers results.
  • Develop and execute strategies and business plans to achieve objectives and gain a competitive advantage.
  • Guide team for continuous expertise development and strategic progression, supporting business growth.
  • Define quality priorities, plan activities, and allocate resources to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Report on post-market surveillance performance: identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage product risk proactively and ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and trade groups.
  • Ensure compliance with post-market surveillance procedures, QMS, and international regulatory requirements, including timely reporting to authorities.
  • Monitor the regulatory and industry environment, implementing changes that impact product performance, safety, and the QMS.

The Person

  • Degree qualification required, preferably Engineering or Science related.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the medical device industry.
  • Experience interacting with Regulatory Authorities.
  • Proven understanding and application of risk management in post-market surveillance.
  • Financial management skills.
