Supply Chain Director

Our client is a leading player in the healthcare sector, dedicated to improving patient outcomes and delivering top-quality healthcare products. They are hiring a Supply Chain Director to manage operations in multiple sites in Ireland, based in their headquarters in Dublin.

The Role

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the healthcare warehousing and logistics function, aligning with company goals and industry best practices.
• Manage and lead a diverse team, leading a cross functional national warehouse team across multiple sites.
• Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.
• Implement and refine logistics strategies to enhance distribution efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure timely delivery of medical supplies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the warehousing and logistics teams.

The Person

• You must have excellent people leadership capabilities, preferably across a multi-site operation.
• Strong experience in handling the transportation and distribution of healthcare products.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives within a high volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proven capability to manage a large operations budget, identifying areas to reduce cost and plan resources to drive profitability.
