One of Ireland's leading universities is seeking to appoint a new Head of Student Recruitment based in Dublin.
With an intake of 4,000 undergraduate students annually, the successful appointee will own, shape and deliver the Student Recruitment strategy for Ireland & EU based undergraduates. Engaging with the secondary school audience requires the appointee to hold both marketing nous and talent attraction, therefore the successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise is both of these areas. Reporting to the Vice President of External Affairs, you will hold accountability in the following areas:
Develop the student recruitment strategy for domestic and EU undergraduate students that is responsive to the dynamic and increasingly competitive domestic landscape.
There will be a particular focus on increasing high calibre successful applications in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences along with the Sciences and Engineering initially.
Manage, develop and coach the student recruitment team. This is a highly capable and collaborative team who seek development of self and their function.
Significant development is required to further attract overseas students from the EU and the successful appointee will ensure development and execution of this strategy.
Further develop the university brand, utilising data-sets provided by the Office of Institutional research to support decision making, in particular managing budgets.
Partner with the Marketing and Faculty offices to ensure relevant and accurate information is shared across their website, and all associated internal and external social media platforms.
Creates a best in class university brand that provides a message of top level education, post-graduate career opportunities in conjunction with the excellent student well-being and support programs that are in place
The post holder must posses a primary degree with 5 years plus student recruitment experience working in higher education.
Strong PR and/or Marketing experience is also required.
Excellent relationship management, negotiation, interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
Experience of leading and developing a high performance team
Experience of budget preparation, management and reporting are an advantage.
The appointment is at Administrator Grade II level, which means this hold a highly attractive package including 29 days Annual leave (plus Bank Holidays), DB Pension, Paid Sick Leave, Income continuous scheme, EAP, Free Parking.
