Discovery
A leading global medical devices organisation sought to strengthen its corporate quality function by appointing two key global leadership roles, a Global Quality Systems Leader and a Global Design Assurance Leader, to be based at its corporate headquarters. Both roles required extensive global leadership expertise in medical device quality in highly regulated environments and across multiple geographies and product portfolios. The hiring challenge was significant. The local talent pool lacked global systems and design assurance expertise. International relocation was necessary, narrowing the available candidate market.

Reach
We led an international executive search across U.S. and European medical device markets, mapping senior global quality leaders within top-tier organisations. Candidate engagement focused on attracting executives with multinational experience, proven quality leadership across diverse product portfolios and a willingness to relocate to the Oceania region.

Assessment
Shortlisted leaders were assessed on relevant global leadership expertise, strategic capability, cultural adaptability and relocation readiness. We worked closely with corporate and regional HR to calibrate expectations around career trajectory, relocation and integration.

Impact
Two internationally experienced leaders were appointed from major global device manufacturers. Both have strengthened global quality governance, design assurance standards and alignment of systems across sites worldwide— supporting the organisation’s continued growth and commitment to patient safety and product integrity.
