Reporting directly to the Head of Organisational Capability, the Head of Reward will play a crucial role in driving the organisational reward strategy forward and addressing legacy issues within their complex landscape. This role will involve overseeing all aspects of reward operations, from job sizing to total reward statements, with a focus on streamlining processes, addressing legacy issues, and driving meaningful change.

The Position

Responsibilities of the Head of Reward include:

  • Develop a comprehensive reward strategy aligned with the company's objectives and values, considering legacy issues and historical practices.

  • Lead and manage the reward team, providing strategic direction and guidance to drive performance and innovation.

  • Oversee all aspects of the annual pay cycle, including annual reviews, bonus calculations, and total reward statements, with a focus on simplifying processes and ensuring accuracy.

  • Analyse and evaluate existing reward practices and systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation, particularly concerning legacy issues.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and preferences regarding benefits and rewards while addressing legacy practices.

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies in reward operations, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery of services while addressing legacy complexities.

  • Lead initiatives to address legacy issues and streamline reward practices, simplifying complexity and enhancing employee experience.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on pensions and other employee benefits, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulations, while addressing any legacy challenges.

  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of reward programs, monitoring effectiveness and making recommendations for enhancements, particularly concerning legacy practices.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in reward management, incorporating relevant insights into company policies and practices, with a focus on addressing legacy issues.

The Person

Qualifications and Experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in reward management, with a proven track record of driving strategic change in complex organisations and addressing legacy issues.

  • Deep expertise in reward operations, including job sizing, compensation analysis, and benefits administration, particularly concerning legacy challenges.

  • Experience with SAP / SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms, with a focus on configuring systems to accommodate diverse organisational structures and legacy practices.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organisation, particularly concerning legacy practices.
