Manufacturing Engineering Technician

My client, a top 5 global EMS company with a base in Cork has been the EMS provider for end to end contract manufacturing and design services to some of the world’s most innovative companies for 25 years in their Cork site. The facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO 13485:2003 for the manufacture of high quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III Medical Devices with 90% of the site being in the Medical Device sector.

The Position:

My client is looking for a brand new team of 5 Manufacturing Technicians reporting into a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician for a new high volume cleanroom that will be fully functioning by September. You will have plenty of time to acclimatise to the organisation before the cleanroom is up and running. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the smooth running of all products in a high volume production environment including chip on board auto insertion, PTH and general PCB/ Boxbuild assembly
  • Debug/troubleshoot process/machine problems
  • Carry out PM’s according to schedule
  • Product performance
  • Process improvements
  • Improving line yields and overall quality of products
  • Monitoring of machine uptime

The Person:

  • Must have Automation experience as the site is highly automated
  • GMP experience
  • Must come from a medical device or pharma background
  • Have both a mechanical and electrical background
  • Experience with a lengthy change process
  • Open to shift work
