Job description

The Position

  • You will report into the Head of Site and join the senior leadership team, managing a group of approximately 7 staff comprised of contractors and staff members.
  • You will have the opportunity to design and draft project controls and implement processes around project management steering the business into a more structured way of delivering projects.
  • Identify the current projects in flow and assess status, planning for each accordingly.
  • Prioritise key projects to be mapped in a more detailed format and draft milestones and more formalised timelines as required.
  • Support the lean culture that is very much instilled in the business and work to streamline workflows as efficiently as possible.
  • Lead and guide your team to achieve key objectives in a productive manner.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, electrical, or related field); advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, including experience with capital expenditure management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical manufacturing (e.g., FDA regulations, cGMP guidelines).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
