Job description

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company is seeking an Associate Supply Chain Manager, Global External Manufacturing for a 12-month contract role based in Dublin.

The Role

You will play a pivotal part in managing the intricacies of external manufacturing processes within a dynamic and diverse pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee SAP-based purchase and sales order processes, ensuring accuracy from order placement to delivery and payment.
  • Interface with internal and third-party distributors, as well as suppliers, to proactively resolve day-to-day supply chain and logistics issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, collaborating closely with corporate finance to address outstanding issues.
  • Lead regular cross-functional demand and supply review meetings with internal and external partners, documenting meeting minutes and action logs.
  • Actively engage in the Technical Transfer process for products in your portfolio, ensuring adherence to timelines and contractual requirements.
  • Manage the supply chain based on a solid understanding of customer/supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with each supplier and customer.
  • Maintain up-to-date files of the assigned product portfolio, including SKU, lead-time, expiry date, and obsolescence.

The Person

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree is essential, and certification from APICS is considered a valuable asset.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilising the S4 Hana SAP system, showcasing proficiency in managing inventory and executing purchase/sales order processing transactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of supply chain management within a sophisticated manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities, enabling effective collaboration with individuals from diverse functional areas and across all levels of the organisational hierarchy.
  • Proven track record of actively participating in and contributing to cross-functional teams, highlighting a collaborative approach to problem-solving and project execution.
