Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced HRIS Project Manager to lead the implementation of a comprehensive Human Resource Information System (HRIS) across their UK and Ireland operations. This project will encompass modules for Time & Attendance (T&A), Core HRIS, Payroll, Recruitment and Onboarding, and Performance Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR technology, and project management, and a proven track record of successfully delivering HRIS implementations.

This is a part-time position 2-3 days a week for 3 months.

Day rate contract - will suit a consultant working on other projects.

The Position

Key responsibilities include:

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop a detailed project plan, outlining phases, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with key stakeholders across HR, IT, Finance, and other departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate communication and provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.

HRIS Implementation

  • Oversee the configuration, customisation, and integration of the HRIS modules (T&A, Core HRIS, payroll, recruitment and onboarding, and performance).
  • Ensure data migration from existing systems is accurate and complete.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Training and Support

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Provide ongoing support and system maintenance post-implementation.
  • Work with vendors to ensure continuous improvement and updates to the HRIS.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including user manuals, process flows, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure the HRIS complies with relevant legislation and data protection standards (e.g., GDPR).

The Person

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in HRIS project management, preferably with multi-module HRIS implementations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and systems, particularly in T&A, Payroll, Core HRIS, recruitment and onboarding, and performance management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with data migration, system integrations, and user training.
  • Experience with leading HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM).
  • Knowledge of UK and Ireland HR regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in change management and process improvement.
