Job description

This opportunity is with a large manufacturing organisation, specialising in the production of diagnostic testing kits specifically focusing on the detection of infectious diseases. They are currently looking for a Master Planning Lead to join their operation.

The Position

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with commercial, demand planning & operations to develop a monthly supply plan that meets market demand, aligns to budget and builds adequate and agreed cover in the business/market.

  • Translation of the supply plan into a production plan and subsequent schedule for operations.

  • Daily/weekly tracking of that schedule against the plan and reporting the progress against the plan to the business.

  • Reporting on deviations away from those agreed plans via scrap, over/under production, changes in forecast, deviations (NCMRs) etc.

  • Scenario modelling in tandem with the parallel review of internal and external risks/ opportunities.

  • Maintenance of Item Level Master Data & BOMs.

  • Support in the implementation, optimisation, and maintenance of the ERP system.

  • Support in relevant design change initiatives as required.

  • Support the implementation of an S&OP cycle and lead site S&OP discussion.

  • Responsible for maintaining, managing, and measuring supplier relationships.

  • Managing RM inventory levels & inventory shelf life through timely and appropriate purchase orders.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives centred on maximizing ERP utilisation via increased usage of demand planning, forecasting, MPS, MRP & CRP functionality.

The Person

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Planning and Production Scheduling.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of day-to-day practices within ERP: demand planning functionality & system logic.

  • Detailed knowledge of MPS & MRP.

  • Experience working within a regulated environment is preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills and a knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word plus experience with forecasting Tools & ERP systems.
