Job description

Our client is an innovative biologics organisation who have developed and are continuing to work on ground-breaking drugs to treat rare diseases. The team here in Ireland was established in 2018 and has grown into a key strategic office within the global business. This growth plan will continue in 2024. There is now an interim need for an experienced Project Manager to oversee business critical Technical Transfers in collaboration with their CMO network.

The Position
As an experienced Engineering Project Manager, you will be involved in planning tech transfer and overseeing these key projects for the business. Working closely with global strategic partners, you will be responsible for supporting key NPI's and the successful establishment of GMP across the CMO network.

This is a challenging position within a complex manufacturing environment and will require flexibility and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the head of Technical Services; this position sits within a newly established team of talented professionals.
  • Expertise in designing and mapping sustaining work in addition to ongoing operational support plans.
  • Liaise closely with business partners and internal stakeholders to support manufacturing operations successfully.
  • You will support the resolution of deviations; running investigations across equipment and processes, system failures and under-performance ensuring root cause analysis is carried out, a solution is delivered, and corrective actions are implemented as required for high-speed filling, assembly, and packaging equipment.
  • Contribute to lean initiatives within engineering specifically focused on process improvements impacting operational activities.
  • Maintaining the validated state of the automation systems and carrying out control system revalidation.
  • Support internal and external audits.

The Person

  • All applications must have a Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment - process engineering experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a drug-substance or drug-product manufacturing site would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working with CMO's to deliver against agreed timelines and key objectives is a requirement for this position.
  • A flexible approach to work and a positive attitude will be a good fit with the team dynamic.
  • Be collaborative and a genuine team player.

A flexible hybrid working model is in place with a competitive rate offered. This is initially a 12-month contract.
