Job description

Leading global engineering solutions business are expanding due to market demand and have an opening for a Project Manager to oversee delivery on key aspects of a large-scale project. As a market leader in their field you will join a collaborative and engaged team to deliver and support client operations across this client site.

The Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering on multiple short cycle and long cycle time projects and deliver jobs on time, under cost and at customer satisfaction. They will manage a total of $2.0 - 5.0 million+ in revenue annually. Working closely with the Leadership team, corporate functions and our senior customers, leading projects in support of strategic initiatives.

  • Review and manage the Project scope as sold.
  • Produce, monitor and maintain project delivery schedule as appropriate for the project.
  • Produce revenue and cost budgets and forecasts, closely monitoring them through the projects duration
  • Assess and manage internal and external resources (Sub contracting) to deliver the project on time, to the labour budget.
  • Engage with sourcing to manage and negotiate third party suppliers to ensure on material plan and budget attainment.
  • Manage the timely delivery of design specifications and project documentation as required, to meet project needs.
  • Manage third party equipment inspections and tests.
  • Manage Project Scope and facilitate change management to ensure that customers/management are aware of changes in project scope.
  • Track project status and report on a monthly basis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage Risks and Opportunity.
  • Manage Projects to time, budget and customer satisfaction.
  • Taking responsibility for reporting (revenue, cost , billing and GM) to ensuring performance against forecasts
  • Be responsible for customer billing as per contract and to ensure that all payments are collected in a timely fashion.
  • Champion and lead project Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards.
  • Complete project handover to client and service.

The Person

  • 3-5 years experience in Managing Project teams (up to 4 to 10+ people) including remote teams.
  • Experience in Process and or Building Automation technologies.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas and or Pharma / Bio Pharma market.
  • Relevant Degree in an industrial / Engineering subject with PMI certification an advantage.
  • Proven client and supplier contract negotiations and management experience.
  • Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel (potentially 25%)
  • Proficient in PM tools, including MS Office and MS Project and PlanView.
